Springs Wednesday Night Ride - 3/21

I'm oncall this week so I'm voting for Ute. I would be able to break off the group anytime. Does that work or were you guys thinking of somewhere else?

Ute is actually a lot of fun on the SS--you should come Joe!

I destroyed my chainring with the torque from my massive quads (and a few chainring bolts falling out) on Sunday so my SS is out of commission--otherwise I would bring it tomorrow.

Ute is fun on any bike. I saw a kid with a Demo yesterday. Ok, that might be overkill... But I have found a few fun rollers I hadn't done before. A couple of drops too. Nothing you would need a downhill bike for but they are fun.

I'm going to make it, but I'm going to try to take it easy. I feel pretty good, but I still have some congestion. If it's cold and windy, I may bail after one good loop around the park.

BTW, thanks for the good vibes everyone!

Please Help I'm looking for a mount for my old Nightrider Classic. I have the handlebar mount but I broke the male end shown in this pic. It un-screws from the light itself. If you have a old light that you are not using can a steal the male connector (for lack of better words) from you. I would love to get out with you guys but time on Wed nights does not permit. I'm in the Springs, if you mail it I will mail you a check for your effort.

ps. I hope the pic above turns out I have never posted a pic before.

if not here is the link

Unfortunately I have a diiferent Niterider. I bet that if you contact Niterider direct they'll hook you up. If not there's always Ebay.

I might run across you guys out there. If I get out of work early - and the weather's not bad - I'll probably ride out from my house at about 5:45ish for a quick lap or maybe 2. If you see a guy on a Pivot with a Lefty, that'll be me.

The seat bag? It's something I picked up from Bike Source in Denver. It's a KoKi TukTuk. Well designed, but the velcro that holds it to the seat rails isn't as sticky as I'd like.

North it is. South would involve two miniscule hike-a-bikes.

BTW, I wouldn't recommend this as a night route. At least not 'til you know the trail and/or it becomes more obvious. If you missed the very first right-hander in the video, it would be a mess, at best.

I owe an apology to whoever it was I met at the top of Pinon Rd; I wasn't trying to be anti-social or rude, I just couldn't breathe! I live at the bottom of that hill, so coming up from a cold start usually kicks my butt pretty good, but coming off a couple weeks of having a cold makes it that much worse. So, I'm sorry for not introducing myself; it was all I could to to answer your question about the trail up the west side of the ridge.

Looks like you found the trail, though, because as I was climbing back up the ridge from the Vindicator side, I saw you guys headed north high up on the ridge above me. Now you'll have to tell me how you got there!

Great ride guys (and gal)! I don't think riding made my cold any worse so I'm stoked .

Did anyone lose a nut on the ride last night (wait, that doesn't sound good). Anyway, I found a nut on the trail and picked it up in case anyone lost it. It is about a 10-12mm wide black nut about 5mm thick with a large hole in the middle of it.

HTRN we were talking about having a mini solstice type ride this Thursday and barbecuing and drinking beers in the plot after wards. We feel bad about you not being able to hang like usual on the Wednesday rides. It hasn't been the same

    Sweet I'm game.
Dont feel bad and change everything up just for me. Im just living the life of a old person having to be in bed so early , but thanks for thinking of including me in the plan. It has been a bit odd to get done riding and going straight home, miss the beer drinking after 9.....stupid rules.
