Springs Night Ride 3/14/12 -- CMSP

We were discussing CMSP as the ride this week to celebrate the beginning of Daylight Saving Time--is that still the plan? If we're going to car pool in, I can take two other bikes and up to 3 other people.

We won't need lights for the first hour or so, but we're definitely going to need them still so lights are required.

Yeah, I'm kinda slow today--and I don't think I can blame it on Daylight Saving Time!

I am hoping to make the long haul down from Denver for this week's ride. May have 1-2 more riders in tow with me. Dont worry they're faster than me (that is usually a good assumption). Where in the park do you meet?

Hey Rusty.... We meet up at the Safeway on Highway 115 and S. Academy Blvd.

It costs 7 dollars per vehicle to get into the park so we usually consolidate cars at the Safeway parking lot and split the entrance fee.

Yes, and we meet at 6:00pm. Let's try to have wheels down (I mean up and loaded) by 6:15.

I don't have a computer in front of me but just google the visitor center parking lot in CMSP. That is where we park and ride from.

We don't actually park at the visitor center.

Rustycar, after you pass the visitor center and pay at the self-pay drop box (bring cash or a check since there won't be a ranger on duty), take your first left and head to the DAY USE TRAILHEAD which is down the hill. You'll see a large parking lot with a bathroom--that's where we will meet.

Wow, I would have thought we climbed more than 1,400 feet! So the 2:33 time is moving time, or total time?

Regardless, I feel like we got a WORKOUT last night. With all of the SS's, I almost thought I was on a TITS ride or something....

That is total time. For some reason it doesn't show moving time vs total time anymore.

Yeah, riding my 29er setup single speed was pretty fun. Not nearly as difficult as I would have imagined. I'm sure I'll be riding it allot this summer.
