    Shimano XT engineering flaws

    This is a cross post, but I want my fellow colorado peeps to be aware of it.

    Some Shimano stuff is good but when it comes to my drivetran, SRAM gets my money. I think the only Shimano components on my bike are the 9-speed cog and the front derailleur. Thanks for posting this. I'm building up a new rig soon and will use a X.9.

    It's Shimano Alivio for me...that sheeit is dope...

    My typical drivetrain setup are:

    SRAM Rocket Shifters (For SHimano)
    SRAM cog
    SRAM 991 Hollowpoint chain
    Shimano Rear and front deraileur

    ... although, with the recent excessive wear of the new XT, I'll try the SRAM rear deraileur. What the heck, I'll try it out.
