    Ice, lots of snow.

Lemme know when you're thinking about heading down that way. I'll join you. I'd like to check out more of that trail system.

Mount Herman trails and climb up the road are ridiculously icy and frozen mud right now. The trails are just ribbons of ice, interdispersed with frozen mud. Certainly doable if shorter, choppy, early/cold rides with studded tires are your thing, but it is way to wet and muddy when above freezing. The ice was bad enough where we were starting to scratch/rotate low-pressure studded nokians on it, and hikers without cleats were hiking off trail (busy widening them, sigh). When it thaws it is way to wet and muddy to be in there on anything, especially horses/bikes. Mount Herman Road is an ice-fest too, with stretches of dry, then some wild ice in the shade or as you get higher.

Great for tuning up your "perfect ice" and "choppy suncupped frozen-footprint" riding skills, but not very inspiring other than that!
