    Mountainsmith Warehouse Sale

    Hello Front Range MTBR'ers!

I am the national sales manager at Mountainsmith. We are having a huge inventory warehouse sale on 7/18-19. Anyone who has ridden Apex has biked right past our front door...we are the last building on the left as you cruise up the initial climb from the lot (and yes, we all ride at lunch)!!!

Come out to get some great deals on Mountainsmith packs, luggage, camera bags, travel storage pieces, etc...50-75% off retail prices...thanks for the support!

    7/18/08 12pm-8pm
    7/19/08 9am-4pm

18301 West Colfax, Golden, CO right behind Heritage Square

Reply to this post with questions and I'll try to hop on daily and answer...cheers!

    See you there!

Hey - I said I like the taste of it!

That doesn't make it any less SPAM-ish.

Thanks for posting it! I saw a flyer at the AMC before Kranked and (of course) forgot to mark it on my calendar at home, so (of course) would have forgotten to stop by.
And I do need a new backpack.
Oops now all these crazy mtn bikers know I hike too...

A good mix of items...a lot of samples/overstock from Spring 08 and a great selection of items from 2006-2007...will definitley be daypacks, internal frames, some hydration (although we did not make this in 2007 or 2008), Travel Storage (all the tote sytle things to keep you gear dialed in the car/garage), luggage and camera bags...come check it out!

Sorry for the misinterperet SkaredShtles...glad you like this flavor of SPAM...mmmmmm!

Cool. I might have to swing by. My Camelbak blowfish is on it's last legs and if I could get a comparable Mountainsmith replacment that would be great. Doesn't need to be 07-08.... just a good pack that will hold a reservoir and some layers/gear/food. Not too bulky of course. You know the Typical MTB stuff.

    Thanks again.

    Hey JayG,

You are very naive aren't you?

Why do you as a sales manager for Mountain Smith, don't think this is spam? Especially when you are posting it on several forums here.

You are violating the rules of MTBR.com. MTBR.com survives by making money from paid advertisers. Did you pay for an ad to help MTBR out? Or are you too cheap and want people to help you for free?

I like Mountain Smith products but this is inappropriate.

On MTBR.com he has one thread which is, judging from most responses in this thread, relavent and in the proper section of the site.

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of selling one of my Mountainsmith backpacks. Yep, I'm too cheap to get a classified ad on MTBR.

    It's a nice classic pack, A bugaboo. It's awesome.

PM me for price and details.

    Thanks

It's bike related cuz it's near my bikes. And you can ride with it.

Hey Skullybones...packs are made in Vietnam and China (it's been since the mid-90's that Mountainmsith was still manufacturing in Golden).

I apologize to any and all that found my post to be inappropriate and want to reitierate that I was simply trying to get the word out to some core user groups. Some good old grassroots marketing. The good folks at Moutain Project and 14ers.com were helpful in spreading the word as well.

Hope to see some of you this weekend..good reason to rider Apex, MW, etc...

So since he just happens to be the sales manager that's why this is inappropriate. Now if I, not being afiliated with Mtn Smith in anyway, would have posted a message saying if anyone is interested they're having a warehouse sale with dates and times would that be inappropriate?

Anyway, I think these guys are over-reacting.

Jay...Any Larger Duffles going to be over there?

There will be duffels, tons of travel items for sure...

Again...I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended by posting this information. I read posts on MTBR every day to check out the buzz, trail conditions, etc. and thought folks might want to know about the event...cheers all!

Yup. I think you've got it. It has to do with the OP having a vested interest in the sale of the goods...

Anyway, I think these guys are over-reacting.

Jay, there you go. Next time just don't tell anyone you're the sales manager and you won't get this flack.

And if it REALLY is bothering some folks don't reply. That just bumps it back to the top.

Damn, 70% of MSRP may be nice. You don't sell 29er Hardtails, do you? Now that is something I NEED!

You should have been at the Kranked release. A hard tail 29er was auctioned off and went for a STEAL of a price.

You should become a mtbr sponsor. That way, you'll be able to have any negative reviews removed and maybe even get a whole forum shut down. Membership has it's privledges

This thread delivers. Too bad you're not selling spandex because the mayhem that would cause in this forum would be overwhelming.

I want to thank JayG for posting up this up as I was in desperate need of a new pack. We went home with a metric crapton of gear for a itty bitty price.
