yup still riding. . .I am quite sure that just driving on freeways in this huge petro burning metropolis is much worse for my body then the smoke from the fire.

    Air Quality

Curious if peeps are still riding with all the haze? I rode Chimney/Apex on Saturday, with a little visible haze. But last night started to smell smoke in the air, in Golden. Undecided at the moment.

Tell that to my exercised induced asthma. Any little bit of additional (additional being the key word) pollution tends to jack with my asthma. Hitting the albuterol hard.

I've limited my outdoor riding ever since the Fukushima disaster. After seeing the news today that 3 of the reactors melted down in the first 3 days, and the public wasn't told of the danger, IMHO it was a good decision.

And now that the radioactive fallout has once again become airborne in the ash from these grass fires, I'll probably wait a little longer...

You're avatar image fits your thought very well.

I'm taking the day off partly because of the smoke. We slept with our windows open last night and woke to the smell of strong smoke this morning in Superior.

It's possible that ever since the world was destroyed on 8/10/08 we've been living in a parallel dimension. There's just no way of knowing.

I know my eyes have been burning for the last week, other than that haven't had any trouble breathing. Kind of reminds me of the year of the Hayman fire, except my house smelled like a campfire then.

What haze? If you have ever lived in SoCal or the NorCal bay area this looks like a clear day!

Rode twice now in the "haze" and have yet to measure any radiological effects...

Did some lung busters up the Burn Zone (local steep trail), and it did feel just like the Bay Area during high pollution times, my lungs hurt and I was hacking a bit when I got home. The air quality is bad, regardless of the state's rating. Hope it clears out some?

Yep our house didn't smell like a campfire this morning. That's good although there is still an air quality warning in place. Apparently the smoke from AZ has made it all the up to Idaho.

There's a nice brown cloud over denver almost everyday in the summer, a little smoke won't hurt anything
