    exercise app?

I am getting back into mountain biking to lose weight. looking to lose 100 lbs. my goal is to enter some enduro races. I am looking for a good exercise app that will track the trails I ride and will hook to a heart rate monitor for accurate calorie burn. Any advice would be awesome. thank you in advance

    exercise app?

I use cyclemeter to track all my rides. It can hook to a Bluetooth HR monitor, I think it $4.99 for iPhones and there are other features available for an additional charge, but the base app has been fine for me. It tracks just about anything you would want to keep up with.

I've used mapmyride and strava. I used to hate strava, but now with all the information it has, and the groups you can join, I end up using it all the time now. I use it to track miles and just see how I compare against others.

I use a Garmin 500 GPS with a heart rate monitor and a cadence sensor. The cadence sensor is fun, but getting the heart rate is essential for an accurate calorie count. I also use the Garmin app on my iPhone for walking at lunch time. That way, all the data, cycling and walking, is on the same site.

so I have tried out a few app and I would have to say strava is the one I like best. I have it connected to the my fitness pal app. just need a heart rate monitor and I think I will be set. Thank you all for your responses.

    Join the Clydesdale club.
Save the money & manually check your heartbeat after the ride.
The bike doesn't make you go fast.

I joined the incredible shrinking super Clydesdales club. Is there another one?
