    Eagle and longevity

Anyone switch to eagle and noticed longer chain and chainring life?

i go thru a xt chain every 450-500 km and 2 30t chainrings a summer.

i run gx 10-42 cassettes and they seem durable.

Was thinking being im going to need a new cassette, chain, ring soon... i should jump to eagle gx with a 36t ring. Might get some more longevity out of the drive from the larger cogs.

i get 1500km out of a chain on my gravel bike running 42 10-42 on it. Not putting the torque down the same as trail riding but the larger drive ring has to help.

im a clyde so looking for clyde input.. otherwise i would have put this in drivetrain.

I'm currently 280lbs with about 500 miles on my GX eagle setup. Slight wear but its only from operator error and bad shifts under power. If I don't grind them and keep everything lubricated, I think 2k miles wouldn't be a problem

I had one Eagle GX chain pull apart under load at about 300-400 miles, then my last chain I swapped out after about 500 miles, and it still looked pretty good. Under 1/32" stretch. I buy chains in bulk when ebay has coupons, at an average of about 25 bucks a chain. I'm using an absolute black chainring, so I cant comment on the sram rings, but the cassettes will probably last me forever.
