    Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! No artificial bumping of posts - please read this.

    There have been a number of people posting classified and then artificially bumping them to the top of the page by adding a single line of text in a reply to their own thread. As you can imagine if everyone starts doing this it would become a battle of users trying to always keep their ad near the top of the Classified section. This is not allowed as outlined in the Forum Rules for the Classifieds Forum which can be read here:

    http://forums.mtbr.com/classifieds/w...g-1003927.html

    Here is when it is appropriate to "bump" your thread in the classified section:

    * Update on the price.
    * Response to a users question.
    * Changes to the ad itself. Adding or removing pictures, Adding or removing of information.
    * Item has sold.

    Any other "bump" that only serves to move your thread to the top of the page will be deleted. This would include posts such as:
    * Item still available.
    * Bump.
    * Please check out this great deal!!!! Wont Last......
    * Etc.

    Thanks for your understanding on this.

    This is not targeting one user specifically. I have deleted a number of artificial bump posts over the last few weeks and felt that perhaps more clarification was required.

    I dont post much. Does adding a new pic or adding details to the orginal post cause it to bump itself or is a reply actually required?

    Thanks

    No it does not. A reply would be required to bump it back to the top.
