    who uses a 1UP rack?

I'm looking into getting one but I am looking for one piece of information.

I need to know how far from the end of the hitch, the rack sticks out when it is folded up. my current rack will not fit in my garage when it is mounted to the car. it sticks out too far. a Kuat will also stick out too far. But it looks like the 1UP pivots much closer to the car so I'm hoping it will fit.

if anybody has one and can let me know what distance is I'd appreciate it.

    Michael

I have the 2" receiver/two bike model. I am sure it depends on the car/hitch installation, but the rack has an adjustable insertion depth into the hitch. At least on our cars, I can adjust the insertion depth until the folded up rack almost touches rear door of our car (Ford Escape).

What kind of car do you have?

This is my quickrack with an add-on mounted on my Jetta. Sticks out about 6 inches from the bumper.

Mine also sticks out about 6" when it's on my Matrix, but the receiver on the Forester does not allow me to insert it as far so it sticks out about 10". Something to consider...

thanks for the feedback guys. it's good info to have. I'm sure it's partially car dependent based in where the hitch is mounted and the contour of the rear of the car but it helps. I think it's going to work but I'll have to check.
