    trunk bike rack for Specialized

Anyone have a suggestions of a trunk mount bike rack for specialized mountain bikes? The small "X" frame hole does not allow the pads of most bike racks to fit through. I end up mounting the bike on just the bottom tube with the rear wheel close to straight up in the air. Seems to put a lot of vertical pressure on the front strap. Any suggestions or ideas on a good mount for the trunk?

    Thank you

Use a Saris Bike Beam. Connects to seatpost and steerer tube to create a flat "top tube" to mount the bike on. They work great!

check out the Thule Raceway Platform. It's built on the foundation of a tray-style rack that carries all types of bikes, regardless of frame design.

Wish I had the money for the Thule Raceway Platform. That looks like a cure all. But since I do have to follow my budget I will have to look into the bike beam. Thank you both for your replies. Extremely helpful. I will throw out the seasucker idea to anyone who is interested because they look sweet. But also out of my budget. Thank you
