So close to what I want, but...

...I want to be able to semi-permanently mount it in the truck bed, and still be able to close my tonneau cover. Can that be done with this rack?

Yes we have made the deluxe with no legs and been custom making to fit all our customers.
With the two main designs we have currently available the rack is designed to be taken out of the back of the truck and used in the garage. No tools are required and with the rack being less than 20 lbs very easy to take in and out.
Please let me know if I can custom make one for you.
    Thanks Steve

How does it hold the bike without legs?

Does it have removable legs, and you remove the legs to leave it in the truck and roll closed the tonneau? or do you have to prop it up some other way? I looked for pics on your site, but didn't see anything that shows me how it would work without legs.

You are correct. For the deluxe to work properly it should have the legs on it. Since we custom make these for each order we would be making yours with removable pined legs.

Do u have any photos of how the rack secures to the bed?

And I'm unsure of the difference between delux and ninja

To secure the rack in the truck there is a clamp that pushes on the side of the bed securing it in place.
The deluxe is the rack with an angled support that gives you a few other options such as mounting it on the wall.
The Ninja is the space saving version with 90 deg joint that when there is no bike in it takes up very little room.
Thx for the inquiry and please let us know if we can help.
