    Trouble With My 1Up

I've owned my 1Up for @ 8 months w/o issue but.......I loaned it to a friend who has a 2" hitch (my car has an 1 1/4") We installed the adapter to allow him to use it with his 2" hitch and away he goes.

When he returned the rack I removed the adapter and tried to install it on my car but the ball inside the shaft won't retract enough to allow it to slide into the receiver. I have completely removed the bolt that tightens the rack to no avail. I also tapped the ball with a plastic mallet in hopes it was stuck but no luck. The ball is loose but doesn't retract enough to allow the shaft to slide in. Has anyone seen this problem? I have emailed 1Up and hope to hear from them tomorrow. Any help is obviously appreciated!

Call them, they will take care of the problem. I had the same issue (albeit w/a 2" rack).
