    Thule xsporter issues

So I've for a 3/4 dodge cummins truck. Got myself an xsporter, installed it, no problem, towers between my toolbox and wheel wells, and towers behind then wheel wells. When I go to install my side arms the gap between the load bars is too big, and the wheel wells interfere with the towers when they are down. Any ideas??? Any one have any experience with these? I use my tool box as a trunk and would HATE to loose it

we have had to trim off some of the lower stanchion on the uprights that come through the bottom...this only works if you plan on keeping them in the lower position.
the sidearm uses 16" of the bike tray out in front, which makes the overall length of the tray shorter.

i understand your problem...trimming that piece so it fits on top of the wheel well works great, but not if you need to haul lumber too at cab height.

I was worried about that, not worried about hauling lumber, worried about getting bikes/ gear in underneath in the bed
