Thule T2: Suspension fork/front brake line interface wear.

I can't imagine that I'm the only one experiencing this wear down from the front brake line support. So far my only attempt at reducing wear had been wrapping some gorilla tape around it. Has anyone come up with any creative ideas to curtail or eliminate the wear?

Mine is worn at that spot too. I thought about wrapping it with an old split tube.

Not a bad idea. Perhaps a little resilient foam fill of the cavity created then wrapped with a tube. It may not cut as easy as the tape does on my temporary fix.

Iíve been using a T2 for 7 tears, it touches there but I donít have wear like that. What tire width and fork are you using?

I just recently saw an aftermarket brake line clamp/bolt to replace the factory one. Maybe not as sharp as what you have or you could file it down smoother.

Foam pipe insulation with some heat shrink tubing over the top? Maybe some of that silicone tape that only sticks to itself?

When I had a Sidearm rack it never had any wear like that. Are you tightening the arm down enough? There should be no movement between the arm and the bike as that would cause wear; they should be locked together as one unit.

The Kuat NV 1.0 would do the same thing On my Enduro.
