    Subaru Outback Roof Storage Box

Just got a 2016 Outback, I need to get a Roof Top storage box.

Any suggestions, concerns, recommendations, brands etc.

My vehicle has the fin on the back of the roof which is possibly related to the eyesight option. I wonder about clearance ?

I need the box to carry skis, and haul the kids stuff up to college.

    Thanks

Does the Subaru come with the factory cross bars? I have a Thule that I have used for a few years and its great.

I have the Thule Sonic 635 XL in silver. Easy to mount, no tools necessary, no noticeable wind noise or loss to MPG. Have used it on several 3+ hour road trips on a mazda cx-9

    Specific to the Outback:

The Outback has been notoriously difficult to usefully fit with car boxes for many years, due to the way they place their crossbars. Many boxes will not mount forward enough to allow the hatch to clear. While most will fit, being able to open the rear hatch is awfully useful. Most Car box companies make a hatch clearance table. Here are likely contenders below, but the method of measurement is useful for all cargo boxes.

    This is YAKIMA
    This is THULE

The antenna is not EyeSight related. If covered it likely will impede your XM radio reception though.

Also, this is partially what the Memory Height button is for on your power liftgate. But you will be fine. Your rear crossbar can be put in one of two places if that helps.
