    Securing SARIS Bones

How do you secure this rack (and bike) to your vehicle?

So it does not fall off or against theft?

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

So sorry I didn 't make it clear. It's against theft, or at least discourage it.

Honestly I don't really think there is a way aside from just taking it off when not in use. I keep mine on my car all the time; I understand it's a risk I'm taking that someone can just come by and loosen the straps and walk away with the bike rack. (it's more of a concern when my bike is actually attached! )
If you have a car alarm I suppose setting the sensitivity a little higher so if someone were to fiddle with the rack the alarm would go off?
or you can secure a cable around the 'aluminum tube' of the rack to something underneath the car? I have a little tow loop under the bumper of my civic i could probably run a cable through.

I run a cable through the central tube and lock it to the tie down loop under the bumper.

    Works well on my Civic.
