    Salt Protection on Hitch Rack

    Any one have a better solution to shield my bike form road salt?

    You could always just wash it when you get home?

    that looks like it's working pretty well. kind of a pain in the butt to take on and off though.

    Wouldn't the bike be better protected if you carried it on the roof rack? (it was my first thought - I could be wrong though)

    I think covering the bike is the best option - there is the salt that is on the road, salt dust (if dry) and also salt laden water spray - which can come from the car in front.
