RockyMounts TieRod mounted to Yakima Load Warrior?

I just got my RM TieRod for my new Outback and fits great, but I'm going camping and I can't fit both my RM and my Loadwarrior on my factory racks at the same time. I tried mounting it on the top the LW and it seems to be just fine, but I'm not sure if this is something the Tierod is meant to do. Anyone know if this is OK or would not recommend for any reason? I keep the load in the basket to mostly lighter bulky stuff so exceeding the weight limit is not an issue.

If it matters, the bike is a Tracer VP that is ~30lbs. Plus I have a Thule 20mm thru axle adaptor that I needed for the RM which lifts fork mounting position about 2 or 3" higher.

this is totally fine to mount the tierod to the basket. yakima recommends the boa carrier for the basket, because the short tray doesn't take up valuable basket storage.

    no issues...
