No good Rack n Road n Ripoff

Rack n Road wants $400 labor to install an Ecohitch on a Crosstrek?
    No Thanks.
He said the rear bumper has to be removed. Doesn't look like it according to the installation video. Found another shop with great reviews that will install it for $140 which seems reasonable.

2 ways to install it. First that requires no modification to the frame does require removing the bumper and taillights and other parts. It would be a couple hours and several hundred bucks. I did it myself, but it isn't for the faint of heart.

Second you can do it by enlarging holes in the car frame, and should only take an hour.

Your prices seems reasonable, not a rip off.

From the installation video on the Ecohitch site, they don't remove the bumper or tail lights. They just drop the muffler down and bolt the hitch on. Seems like the easiest way to do it.

Like I said, there is 2 ways to do it. Pros and Cons to both, you have to decide. If you bought a subaru hitch, you would have to remove the bumper and lights just like you can do with the eco hitch.

Well I got it installed today. They installed the Ecohitch without removing the bumpers and lights. Satisfied customer. For you norcal bikers, check out A&B Trailer hitch in San Carlos if you need a hitch installed at a good price.
