Hello everyone, I just thought I would put this question out there. I bought my Thule roof rack, and Sidearm back in June or something. I'm getting ready for a winter season of mtb, and as the temps drop I notice that the hinge of the arm is very tight. Sometimes it takes some force, and has to snap loose for it to pivot. I'm not assuming that this is a problem, I know it is suppose to be tight. I wondered though if anyone here has any experience with this, if I should do anything about it, or if it is a problem. Is better to do nothing?

Other than the sidearm mechanisms needing a little extra attention with cold temps, the system has been absolutely trouble free and surprisingly stable for being so fast and easy to use.
