One up rack keeps coming loose

I have had a 1upUSA single rack for the past few months. I really like it but find myself having to re-tighten the bolt where it goes into the hitch every couple of weeks. Is that normal? I haven't come close to losing a bike yet but I am worried that if I forget to tighten it I may look in the rear view mirror and see my bike getting run over by an 18 wheeler one day.

Mine loosens, but the rack stays snuggly in. Only takes a 1/4 turn to re-snug it. Not sure if it wiggles and sways more due to the ball bearing-wedge thingee getting looser. I got a cable going through the hitch to the rack for piece of mind though, since I don't tighten it very often. I imagine the weight of the bike keeps it leveraged tight in there.

I've had mine come loose once or twice, but the Velcro strap they provide with the rack really does a great job of preventing it from pulling out. I'd have no qualms about driving with a bike on the rack, with the strap installed, with the rack loose. Its not going to go anywhere... With that said, I check it about once a month, to make sure its not seized into the hitch, and to make sure its snug...
