    New Shuttle Truck VW Amarok

So I have been living in the US for the last 7 years and was considering a new tacoma trd sport 4x4 but all the dealers in Mexico are sold out until 2017. Work has me relocating back to Mexico and i had to purchase a Mexican vehicle. Luckily the Amarok is sold in Mexico and i found a used 2014 Amarok Tdi 4x4 highline 8 speed auto for the equivalent of 23k USD. Picked her up in Monterrey Mexico before driving to San Antonio TX 320 miles with less than half a tank. The fuel efficiency is insane for a pickup truck im averaging 36 on the highway and around 26 city. Hopefully you guys get the next gen Amarok this thing is sweet. Fitted the S/M Raceface tailgate pad tonight and it fits like a glove.

That's a pretty spiffy looking ride you got there.
What is the payload and tow cap? Hopefully those TDI's down there didn't get hosed like the ones in the US.
Never really wanted to buy a NEW vehicle, but I was tempted to buy a TDI until the world figured out that VW screwed up.

    1091kg payload, 3000kg tow, 300kg tongue.

    Curb weight is 1784kg. Don't tow 3000kg,
I will suffer no butt-hurt fools!

Why not? I towed 3500 pounds with my bmw wagon and a trailer brake controller without any issues. I have a friend that has the new ford ranger in Mexico and tows regularly around 5-6k pounds with no issues either. Just use a trailer brake controller and these things are rock solid. Its funny because my 328d wagon has been one of the best handling towing vehicles i have ever owned.

Awesome man, they have a locking rear diff and offroad mode that mimics a locking diff in the front using the brakes similar to the new tacoma trd offroad system. Also has hill descent control. Have not done any offroading on her yet but i have seen a ton of videos of these things.
