New question here. Need some help with my thule trunk rack

So i have had the thule 9002 raceway trunk rack on my car , but im starting to get bothered that the wheels and brakes are pressing up against my bumper, is there some kind of attachment i can use so the bike lays on it rather then my bumper? Or should i buy a different trunk rack? or maybe roof rack?

put it out there, and then bungee or cable-lock it to one of the straps or one of your tie-off points, or to one of the mounting feet. maybe?
