Mounting ideas for front tire when off pick in truck bed.

Hey guys I carry my bike pretty much where ever i go. I have a thru axle mount on a board in the bed of my truck like many people do. My concern is that the front tire while off the bike is free to just bounce around back there. I'm trying to reduce the chance of damage to the wheel/bike and the wheel from rubbing on the bikes finish.

Any one have any idea's or use any kind of off the shelf product for this?

    Thanks
    J-

We carry the tires inside with our bikes mounted like your truck. Big garbage bags cover each tire and maybe use a bungee cord to keep them in place. Its worked well for years.

Yes, they make wheel mounts, but I have 4 different hub sizes.

I use a short bungee cord to strap the wheel to one of the cargo hooks.

I carry my bike the same way, but inside my car. Space is tighter, so my wheel doesn't really bounce around. But, if I needed to secure the wheel, this would be what I'd do.

Cool thanks guys. I should be able to fashion up something with some bungees. I like the idea of a large trash bag to keep on hand for when it gets muddy or real sandy.

If anyone has any other ideas let me know.

I've used Mavic wheel bags for years when transporting bikes in the back of our car.
