    Modifying a THULE Velovise tray

I just got great deal on a new THULE rack on eBay and it came with two Velovise fork mounts. My disc brakes are not fitting well. Is there anyway I can modify this at all without having to buy a different tray? Any suggestions? Or has anyone done the dremel-tool fix and can tell me where to cut? Or maybe clamped it?

    Thanks!

I took the dremel tool to mine (this was a bunch of years ago...2000 or so?) but Thule used to have an adapter for just that application of disc brakes...fit in between the tray and front head, worked as an extender. Give them a call and they probably have them for sale.

I too used a dremel on one side (worked great) and a round file on the other. I put the bike on the rack and the fork as far as I could in the mount and just eyeballed the measurement. Worked great. I did it with the rack installed on the roof of the car.
