    Mazda 5 and Roof Racks?

Anyone know about the Mazda 5?
I was wondering if Yakima or Thule made roof mounts that work on the Mazda 5?
I like aftermarket racks, so I can use longer bars.
The 5 seems like a nice car, capable of seating 6, with good gas milage.
Anyone own one? How is it?

go to the yak and thule sites, enter your vehicle brand/model, and you can find out what options they have available

I looked at it and Yakama makes a rack.
I was hoping to see an actual picture of a Mazda 5 witht the rack on to see how it looks and fits.

I have one and love it

Yes, I own one and love it. I mount my bike inside with a fork mount without lowering the saddle (as long as the rear wheel is between the rear bucket seats). I have the factory roof racks and Rocky Mounts trays for when I have friends along or whenever I have too much stuff in the car to fit my bike. True, the factory bars are not very wide, but I found them to be sufficient for my windsurfing stuff... and I thought it would never fit. If you were willing to do some customizing to replace the bars or simply bolt wider bars to your rack, you could make them wider I guess.

    thank you,
I still am not sure if I am going with the Mazda 5 or a mini van. I like the 5, but may need a little more room. On my subaru I can have my bike on the roof and my big thule box. I run very wide bars, they extend the same distance as my side mirrors on both sides. I do have to watch my head getting into the car sometimes.
