    Kia Forte5, Hyundai Elantra 5dr or ?

I'm still researching new vehicles. I want some sort of hatchback. Vehicles I've been researching are Kia Soul, Kia Forte5, Kia Rio, Hyundai Elantra 5 door, Ford Focus(Titanium), Ford Fiesta(Titanium), Honda Fit(EX). It has to be a hatchback, automatic, able to put a hitch(for a bike rack). I'd like to keep my budget under $28K. Originally I was thinking about Subaru Crosstrek or Mazda 3 Hatchback - but these are sold by the same dealer in town and this dealer has a terrible reputation, next closest dealer is 75 miles away. Gas mileage isn't a big deal, since Im down sizing from driving a Dodge Ram right now - anything over 18mpg is a win-win. Any advice on the vehicles I'm considering? Thank you

My .02, drive the 75 miles and see what that dealer has to offer for a Crosstrek. 75 miles is nothing compared to a good deal...

FYI the wheels on the Fit and Mazda 3 were a target for thieves. I don't know if they still are. Also personally I would prefer your larger choices vs the Soul or Rio. Better ride quality and still in your budget.

I've got a 2011 Forte5. 75K miles and only had a bad ESC sensor when I first got it 4 years ago. Focus was to small and the Fit to underpowered. The Elentra back then was just the touring which got 10 MPG less than the Kia. I was able to walk out the door with the Forte for 18K.

schmitty8225 - glad you like the Forte5. I looked at the Elantra and Accent and didn't care for the looks of either one - the front end on the Elantra looked too short.
