Isuzu Rodeo + Thule T2: Spare tire clearance?
I've got a 1995 Rodeo w/o a hitch. The Rodeo has the spare tire mounted on the swinging carrier off the back (as opposed to the spare tire underneath the vehicle).

Already am using a Thule T2 on the other vehicle, so I'm looking to get a hitch that will allow me to use the T2, with clearance for the spare tire so that I can fold the rack up when not using it to carry bikes.

I've checked out the Hidden Hitch/Curt Mfg websites, but they don't necessarily have the exact photo of the hitches. Some photos that I've seen of hitches on Rodeos show the hitch ending at the bumper edge, but I'd like to find the one that extends further out so that the T2 can fold up w/o clearance issues... or maybe this isn't an issue?

I think I've seen versions on the street that extend out further, maybe even have a step platform/plate where it extends out...

Does anyone have experience w/ a 90's Rodeo w/ the swinging rear tire carrier that may be able to chime in?

If you're running a 2" hitch, you might consider just picking up a hitch extension if it turns out your hitch doesn't reach out far enough.

    Something like this for example:

this takes out the wobble from the extension in the hitch and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED whenever you use a hitch extension.
