I always hear about the Saris Bones..."other racks" content

...but not the Guardian. What's the word on this one? It looks like it'd work for my needs and budget, and Saris apparently makes good stuff.

On the cheaper side of the road, I'm also looking into Allen racks. Anyone used/even heard of Allen?

Last thing - could someone recommend a hitch rack as an alternative? My budget hits the ceiling around $100ish. I drive a tuna ca-- uh, '97 Escort with what I believe to be a 1.25" receiver. Thanks in advance.

I picked up a nearly new Yakima receiver hitch rack for a 1.25" receiver off e-bay for $75.

Nice. Is it still working out for you?

Works great - two years now. Not constantly used because of another vehicle and a roof rack, but used regularly. My wife can't reach the roof rack, so she uses it a bunch.
