    Hitch receiver angle

I just got a new to me Subaru Outback, and was lucky that it came with a tow hitch already installed. I've since gotten a 1Up Quik Rack and everything works great. One question though: this hitch receiver is angled down slightly. Doesn't appear to be an issue, though when the bike is mounted to the rack it's definitely tilting away from the rear of the car a bit--it's definitely not vertical. When I add the 2nd bike tray I'm sure the effect will look even more dramatic.
Everything seems solid and secure, but I'm just wondering, would someone intentionally have a hitch mount put on at an angle, to I suppose, accommodate a certain trailer, etc.? I've never had a car with a hitch before--I just assumed they stuck out so they were more or less level.

EDIT: just called a local place that installs them and they said it SHOULD be level and I should get it checked out before I continue to use it. Could be bent or damaged somehow.

    Sounds like excellent advice!

    Good luck.

Turns out it wasn't installed particularly well, kind of a hack job. PROBABLY will hold indefinitely but will likely shift over time, or even crack the way all the weight is being supported. Will have one installed correctly.
