Grand Marquis - How many bikes can you fit in the trunk?

Looking at one because they are cheap and gently driven by old folks.

They're a pretty good value. Giant trunk, seats six, V8 engine, and gets up to about 25 mpg.

The Town Car / Marauder / Grand Marquis / Crown Vic is also one of the only full perimeter frame cars you're going to be able to get your hands on, and they crash very very well.

I had one, and while it was a decent car, the truck wasn't good for bikes. I had to take both wheels off to get it in and have the trunk still close. Good size for golf clubs, but not for bikes. No passthrough, either.

I put a receiver hitch on our '01 and used a T2. The trunk wasn't big enough for bikes.

I think the Grand Marquis/Town Car trunks were designed more to haul bodies than bikes. Maybe that's a better question. How many bodies can you fit in the trunk?

I have one at the moment and I can tell you that you can easily fit 3.5 bodies in the back. HA HA.
as said befor the trunk sucks for bikes. I am curently putting mine in the back seat. You only have to take the front wheel off. Just be sure to cover the seat with somthing.
I am trying to find a rack that I can mount on the roof but so far I cant find a source for a roof rack. Does anyone know of a roof rack to fit 2000 grand marquis

Even with both wheels off, I could not fit my bike in the trunk of my '10 rental Marquis. The trunk is deep, but it's in a strange size.

Well I bought one. I can fit my singlespeed (and all my gear) in the trunk with only the front tire removed. Very happy, except the overhead cam motor makes a lot of noise on a cold startup.

I can take a stab at the body question. However it depends if you have the time to remove a few of the extremities. If you have time to do that you can put 7.25 bodies in the trunk. If you have to put whole bodies in there, it's only four. These numbers are also for normal to light obesity average height males.

    Hope that helps.
