I'm sure there are some others here old enough to remember CARtoons. I loved that mag. I would draw for hours out of that book. Tell your buddy, nice work!

i don't see how that has anything to do with the drawings at all and even specialty built rock crawlers roll over and need a tug from time to time... yes, even jeeps and toyota's and nisans, and chevy's and fords, and sand rails, and trophy trucks, and mustangs.... piss off the wrong people on a trail, if you roll over they just might leave you there

I love FJs almost as much as mountain bikes! (Real FJ's - not those sorry excuse of a 4Runner with a different body that Toyota markets now. FJ FAIL.)

Be nice to see others' classic FJs! Here's mine - '87 FJ 60, 196K miles, 4 inch lift with custom front shackles, 33 x 10.50 pizza cutters. Wish I could afford to drop a 5 speed transmission in it (as well as a new bumper/winch, some tint, rock rails, etc..) but I keep spending my money on bikes...

you've obviously never wheeled with the new FJ. they are very capable (with the rear locker) and will go anywhere your 60 will go, and in more comfort...

Nope, have not. Don't care to. And beside the point. The "FJ Cruiser" simply looks like a ripoff of the classic FJ 40. Which, of course, they do. I also prefer classic Mercedes SLs, classic Mini Coopers, classic Mustangs, classic Camaros, classic Jaguars, etc....over the new ones, despite the clear advances in technology, manufacturing, performance, reliability, etc...

    Sue me.

OP - Like the cartoon pic!

Excellent drawing, the one from the rock crawling FJ says "yotota", mistake or on purpose?
Earthpig: Agreed, actual land cruisers (preferably old ones) are way better than the FJ, but that doesn't mean they're not capable.
