    Factory cross bar slat question

Recently purchased the yakima raptor aero to use on my factory cross bars.

The cross bars on my SUV are kind-of a round shape to them. It installed OK, but when I test fitted a bike it was not vertical, it was slanted out, followed the slant of the factory cross bars.

Don't know if I trust this setup.

Any one else run into this issue or currently transporting their bike this way?

    common problem with factory crossbars.
perhaps you could use some sort of shim on the low side to rest on the top of the crossbar, underneath the rack that will help bring it back to level.

thanks for the reply....I tried a shim but still don't feel go about this install. I think what I'm going to do is get some Yakima round bars that and not use the factory cross bars.
