Hi all,

Used a pipe and had it machined to the proper dimensions, but the pipe is made of steel, not aluminum.

I know some hub ends are steel, but all 15mm hubs I saw so far are aluminum.

Question is - will steel be to hard on the fork? It has been machined well - edges smoothened, but I am still concerned that steel will slowly insert itself into the fork legs, since the hub is more-or-less deformable vs a solid steel pipe.

Anybody had luck or engineering knowledge with this so can report?
