    Carrying 5 bikes

I need a solid set up for 5 bikes,i sometimes use a car topper so I could only carry two bikes on top if needed, and off hitch.
Want quick and solid, dont want to take off wheels. Two bikes would be for kids 10-13.

There are tons of 4 bikes platform/tray style hitch racks. Thule T2 Pro is my favorite. Yakima has announced a 6 bike hitch rack, and Let's Go Areo has a solution for 6 bikes too.

    Yakima hitch rack https://www.yakima.com/fulltilt

I've found on my kids' bikes the frames are designed for hanging racks (until it's time to upgrade). Could go platform 3 bike and 2 on the roof.

Recon Racks has a 5 bike hitch rack:

North Shore Racks doesn't have a 5-bike rack, but they make a 6 bike hitch rack:

I own a Recon 5 bike rack, and it is worth every penny. It'll out live me too.

Good info, i think im gonna replace my north shore 6 with a recon 6. Some downhill forks are just a pain with my NS and wont hang straight. Glad to hear the recon is worth the $

I can't seem to find any news on the Yakima 6 bike rack. Do you have the link?

Also, I too will probably upgrade to the Recon Rack 5. I just sold my Thule Pro T2

I've gone from Yakima tilt up to North shore and have finally found what I believe to be the final rack. Recon 5! Holds mtb and road. Kids bikes. Easy for wife to load. No frame interference. Built like a tank! Killer set up. Mine came I'm two weeks.

We've got a rig with hatch and tailgate combo. The rack tilts back and has adjustability that we can easily lift the hatch and get access.

Depending on how far you are going and if there is space there a trailer can work in a pinch. I used a jetski trailer when I needed to bring 5 bikes along on a weekend trip.
