    Buying new car, need recommendations

I need to buy a new car, but of course it must meet certain specifications. I'm looking for a small sedan or coupe, preferably a hatchback. Basically a commuter car that's good on gas.

Here's where I need your help: I need the car to be able to hold two bikes and two people inside relatively comfortably. I had an acura integra that was perfect for this, and may end up getting another one. I just want to save some time testing a bunch of cars out by asking you experts here.
    Thanks in advance
    -Mark

... and if we just ...

In addition to the previously mentioned cars, I'd also look at a Subaru Impreza Outback.
