Broken Thule T2 Pro XT Bolt that connects to the wedge

I can't be the only person in the universe where the 13" bolt that you use to tighten the wedge on a T2 Pro XT has broken. Thule won't respond and there is simply nothing close to that bolt in the universe. (that I can find.) Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?

Never saw that happen before on any rack. What kind of vehicle was it plugged into?

More important than what vehicle, how much torque are you placing on that bolt? Is that a 3/8" bolt?

I can't speak to the problem as I run the old T2 Classic that's been bulletproof. I have bought some incidental parts...a couple small bolts, spare straps, etc direct from Thule's web site and they shipped pretty darned fast...like within a week as I recall? I never talked to anyone there, I just ordered as they have a very extensive parts list for each model.

Could you simply use a cut length of threaded rod (all-thread) of the same tpi? Course thread I'm guessing.

You can spot weld or cinch two nuts together on that one end.

Never had a roof rack so not familiar with the details to know if this is even an option for this application.
