Bike rack adapter and dropper posts

I've just a spent a little fortune for a bike rack only to find out I needed to spend another 27 Euro worth of adapter as my FS 29 will not hook in there or at least it will in a very weird way. The thing will have to be clamped on a dropper post tho,any damage to it ? Frame is carbon fiber too...

I personally wouldn't risk it. I try to avoid putting any upward pressure on my dropper post as that abuse I feel like is what can eventually cause it to fail.

Perhaps others can chime in, but I would advise against it.

I wouldn't clamp a rack to a dropper post. I'm buying THIS RACK from Old Man Mountain. Perhaps you could return your rack and buy another?

Nope. I wouldn't rely on that. That has slippage written all over it.

Buy a proper platform style hitch rack.

Even in a remote possibility of the thing slipping the seat tube/post angle would stop it.

Car rack failures are spectacular and expensive. NEVER half-ass it when there is that much risk involved. Do not count on that unscientific and uneducated assessment of this situation.
