    3000 pounds of awesome

    It's a $50K, turbo-diesel, 18" wheel travel, street-legal car.

considering I just (re) watched cherry 2000 where I was drooling over the rally mustang the "tracker" was driving, this is surprisingly similar (obviously not body shape, but idea) and equally as cool.

More companies need to do ' open-source'
we are equipped, why the fukk not?

    Most popular/used (IMO) Firefox
It benefits the end-user as well as the owner/developer -[ Win/Win]
This approach would serve consumers/producers nicely in our new electronic age (tubes and what-have you)
    Honestly... ahh I give up

Because open source with software and open source with a physical product is not near the same.

    A new Baja video

Though not much real action for the car. I suspect they only have one and didn't want to break it!

It's worth watching for the Legacy jump at 2:15 alone.

    GCC/Linux/Firefox/Local Motors Rally Fighter

    multi source development...single source production

    what's the difference

in fact GCC is available as multi source development...multi source production
since you can download the source and roll-your-own

remember the Lotus Seven/Super Seven kit cars
it was single source development...multi source production

Seeing it in the video like that, it looked kind of lame, the body style is amazing, but it just looks weird all jacked up like that. Who is honestly going to take that thing off road, it is just too pretty, its looks like someone took a road bike and crammed 3" 24 tires in there. I'd rather just have it as a sports car without the 18" of travel, then just about any other truck from that video looked better for actual off roading.

Even the VW Beetle was going bigger/harder in that video.
