Do you want roof mount, hitch mount, or the type that hangs off the hatch?

If roof mount: What trim level do you have? The 2.5X without the fixed side rails, or do you have a Premium or Limited with the rails? In any of these cases do you have existing OEM crossbars?

Saris Bones . . . best trunk mount I have every used and can be set up to mount on vertical surfaces. Might take some fanagling if you have the spoiler though.

+1 on the Bones. Functional and looks good on the Forrester as well. Mines a 2.5x.

Just make sure you get the 3 bike version. Its more stable because it has 4 legs instead of 3.

This is very true, but I wouldn't use one for anything more than driving around town. If you're thinking of road trips, put the bike inside or get a hitch mount.

Not sure why that would be the case . . . I used mine on several 5+ hour trips without difficulty or incident. Once its on and the bike secured, its secured . . . I don't see why 15 minutes vs. 15 hours would make any difference.
