Just got my Strive and now a stupid question.

OK so got my bike and the build up was pretty basic except for one thing, the headset spacers! OK what is the odd frame shaped spacer that's below the actual spacers and sitting basically against the frame? It has a grub screw so I'm guessing it's tightened to the steer tube and it appears to move along with the handlebar? I only question this because it seems odd the way it moves extending over the edge of the frame. Any insight would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Jason

I've never really paid much attention to it, but you're right.... it just moves along with the steerer tube and stem. Obviously, just put any spacers on top and treat it like a normal headset. I'm not really sure what the purpose of it is, TBH.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I have the regular spacers above it but since it's shaped like the top tube it just seems odd that it actually moves.

that is what the Strive suspension accomplishes, same as Cadabra.

climbs like a bike with much less suspension decends like a bike with more

a 'do it all bike' with legs to eat the chunder

the difference is this implementation is manual activation.

Well after speaking with Canyon it appears that it absolutely should move with the steerer.
