    Broke my Reynolds wheel

Hi all, I have a canyon lux 2019 with carbon Reynolds wheels.

Last week I saw a damage on my rim and sent the wheel back to Canyon.

Canyon saying it is my fault, and they can offer me a crash replacement for 600 euro.

Reynolds is offering lifetime warranty, no matter what happens.

I contacted Reynolds a couple of days ago, but they didn't respond yet.

Anybody has the same experience with Canyon or Reynolds?

I talked to their online chat guys about whether the Reynolds lifetime warranty passes through with a purchase from them and they said it does. I didn't ask any further as to whether you need to go through them or Reynolds for warranty, but I certainly wouldn't expect to be out of pocket. Hope one or the other comes to the party for you.

Not sure when you bought the bike, if it was before they started offering the lifetime warranty or not and if that extends backwards to wheels purchased before it started, but going to have to agree with Canyon, looks to me like you took a stick or something into the spokes, user error, not a manufacturing defect.

Based on the fact he states the bike is 2019 the wheels should have the current warranty, which covers ALL on-trail events, not just manufacturing defects. Their extra coverage covers off-trail damage like driving the bike into a carport, for instance.

Wheel is now at Reynolds. Building up the wheel with a new rim. Hope for the best!

How long did it take to get it back? My broken wheel was delivered to them on Tuesday morning. Wondering how long before I have it back?
