2019 Strive CF 8.0 Maximum Real World Tire Width?

Has anyone tried a Maxxis 2.5 or 2.6 on the 2019 strive cf 8.0? Front looks like plenty of clearance but the back looks like 2.5 maybe?

Curious what people have tried to fit on it. Thanks!

Good question I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately the Strive doesn't have a very large following on this site.

Yep, I've got a DHF 2.5" WT up front and an Aggressor 2.5" on the rear... no issues with clearance whatsoever.

I'm not sure why the bike doesn't have more of a following, it's every bit as good as the other long-travel bikes out there.

Smmokan: can you post pictures of clearance? Wondering if 2.6 have any chance of clearing?

The unfortunate thing with tire size is one brand 2.5 may be smaller or larger and another brands

I totally spaced and forgot that I swapped tires a couple of weeks ago. I'm running 2.4" Michelin Wild Enduro on both front/rear now. They measure close to the same as the Maxxis 2.5" tires though, so if you want me to take a couple of pictures just let me know.

Just a heads up for anyone looking for this info. Just tried a 29 x 2.6 Butcher on it (friends wheelset) and it had TONS of room / plenty of clearance for bigger. I pulled the trigger on a Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6WT. I think there will be tons of room. I was hoping to order a Rekon+ 29 x 2.8 but the Maxxis store shows them but you cant buy one??? Is it not yet available? I'll post pictures of the install when I get it mounted tubeless.

Ok so set up the WTB Vigalante 29x2.8 tubeless on Raceface Aeffect 2 i30 on the front and a Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.6 WT tubeless on rear of same wheelset. There is plenty of clearance both front and back. The pics look a little close but it isnít, there is plenty of room for rock, stick, mud clearance on both front and back side and height-wise.

2.8" Vigilante? Holy crap... I've got a 2.6" on the front of my Strive and it's huge.

Haha! I measured the 2.8 Vigilante and it actually measures at 2.7. The 2.6 DHF in back measures 2.5 and you couldn't really go anymore than that, so I think Canyon is spot on with the max 2.5 at least in the rear.

It actually rode REALLY well today. Was a pretty mellow ride in Click (Trail mode) the whole day on mostly XC'ish stuff.

Not sure if you get this but the Strive gives a really, and I mean REALLY, strong "carving" sensation when leaned over. It just bites so hard into corners it was a little unsettling at first. Ultimately, I think it is a good thing and will make the bike more stable at higher speeds and cornering, but going to take a me bit to get used to it!

Definitely loved the lightness of the bike and my riding buddy marveled at the Shapeshifter technology.
