    Stem/handlebar creaking

I have a F400...when I start cranking up a hill and pull up on front end, I get a metallic creaking. I have tightened stem bolts and all the other things attached to handlebar. I dont think its a headset issue, but concerned it might be...other thoughts are bolts are too tight, still not tight enough, need anti-seize, or dare I say, my rider techique is issue! Any input is appreciated.

Try applying a little lubricant to the area where the stem clamps to the handle bars if you havent already. Also, I had that sound once that I swore was in the handlebar/stem area and it turned out to be my seatpost. Sound travels in strange ways on bikes. Good luck.
