    Standard 1 1/8 stem on a Cannondale?

    Hi,

I would like to put a standard 1 1/8 stem on my Cannondale Flash. I know that Experimental Prototype makes a steertube in carbon for this, but I would prefer one in alu. Does anyone know if Cannondale or any other company makes such steertube which fits directly into the Cannondale frame/headset and on which I can then mount a standard stem?

    Thank you

That's a lot to go through to get a std stem to fit on the frame.

    You'll need a Project321 steerer and a new headset.

You have a choice of tapered or 1 1/8th. I'd go with a tapered setup for stiffness.

Is that the same as this one?: http://www.cannondale-parts.de/epage...Products/KT040

I am considering changing to a std stem as I think the options I have with the standard Cannondale stem are quite limited in terms of different lengths and rise.
