    Seatpost size

I have a F9 and I am looking for a new Seatpost. From what I understand the size is 31.6mm

My question is, will I be able to use a seatpost that is 30.9, or will it be too skinny?

    Thanks,
    Scott

You need 31.6, although smaller diameter can work, but you need adapter.

You can use a thinner post with a shim. By the time you add the cost of the shim you're as well just buying a post the right size.

I've used shims before. I was a bit apprehensive about he idea but they worked fine. Try to find the longest one you can. Most are 80mm but some are 100mm and I think the more support you can give the post the better.
