Repair or replace Lefty in E-Bike conversion

I have an old Cannondale Jekyll with a lefty fork. Last year I broke the top bracket on the fork and ended up taking the opportunity to upgrade to a nice 29er. I have some co-workers who have built out e-bikes and it got me thinking. Does anyone know if I can find the top bracket (it is the part that clamps to the top of the stem) for replacement? If not, how hard would it be to put a cheap standard fork in as a replacement?

This would be intended as an on-road commuter only.

    thanks!
