    Prophet weights

I saw in another post the weight of the 2000 is 28.7 or something. Please correct me if that's wrong. Does anybody know the weight of the 1000?

Off the Shelf with the heavy Maxxis Highroller tires (900+ grams) 31.5 pounds. I was able reduced mine to 28.5 by using Crossmax SL rims, Continental Vertical Pro tires, and Eggbeater pedals.

The Prophets design that allows it to climb and descend so well easily makes up for the penality in weight. Certainly not a great XC bike, but just an overall good ride. Bike feels very balanced at slow speeds (i.e., technical sections of a climb).

Lefty Max Carbon SPV Evolve (Prophet 2000 and 4X): 4 lbs.
Lefty Max SPV Evolve and other Lefty Max (Prophet 1000, 800 and 600): 4.35 lbs.

    Prophet Weight

I built my prophet custom with the following comopnents.
    XL Frame,
    Swinger 3Ways
    Lefty Carbon/TI
    CrossMax SL wheels
    XT Crank, XTR front/rear
    Sram Shifters
    Easton monkey lite riser bar
    Short Stem (100 mm)
    WTB velociraptor Tires
    Shimano 959 pedals

Scale is at 27Lbs, not too bad for 6" of travel.

Will I be able to save some weight by switcing to UST tires?

It depends what is your setup now. I used to ride tubed tires, around 600grams with 200grams tubes. I now ride 665grams UST tires (with a few grams of Stan's) so I do save over 100 grams a wheel. Of course, my XM819 rims are probably heavier than my old rims so it might be equal but you already have the UST compatible wheelset so you probably can save some weight by going UST.
