New question here. Prophet shock eye to eye + alternatives to Manitou

    C-dale website states:

    7.9 x 2.0

Does this 7.9 really mean 7.875?

    So a 7.875 x 2.0 will fit without problems?

I'm assuming so, as this is the size on their Gemini line.

Any photos of Prophets with Non-Manitou air shocks?

Thanks again for all Prophet feedback....

No Pics, but I have a Pushed Fox Float air on mine, and yes, it is 7.875 x 2.0, or 200mm x 50 mm metric. I gave PUSH an AVA to start with, but they de-AVA'ed it with a different sleeve. The experts at Push explained that the AVA is a fairly linear shock. However, the Prophet is not a linear suspension. It is mostly a steep falling rate suspension.

What that means is if you put a linear shock on it, it will bottom out if you so much a ride off a curb. What you want on the Prophet is something with a high rising rate. A small volume air shock, like a Fox Float, might work, I can't say for sure. But a Push'ed Fox Float works better than the stock Swinger, I can vouch for that.
